📋 Description

• Manage engineers and engineering managers, helping them grow • Build scalable, secure, and high-quality products centered on users • Work with product, design, and business stakeholders to define strategy, set priorities, and align roadmaps • Deliver excellent products while prioritizing security, compliance, user experience, and reliability in a high-volume trading environment • Provide hands-on technical guidance and support teams in complex situations • Own team health and the growth of team members • Identify high performers for nurturing and lower performers needing assistance • Run performance reviews, assign promotions, and ensure succession planning • Provide leadership and technological guidance to squads and managers • Monitor metrics, goals, and missions for people and teams • Oversee and empower engineering teams while maintaining accountability • Ensure teams have appropriate structure, processes, and resources • Drive best practices in software development, security, system design, and risk management • Contribute to hiring and retaining engineering talent globally • Challenge the status quo to maximize customer value and deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions • Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction and facilitate trade-off discussions with stakeholders • Influence cross-functional partners and contribute to Engineering’s technical strategy and roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience managing engineering teams • At least 2+ years managing managers • Strong background in trading or investment platforms • Proven ability to scale engineering teams, optimize delivery processes, and handle high-throughput, mission-critical systems • Deep technical expertise in software engineering, architecture, and team building • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, geographies, and remote/distributed teams • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, such as Splunk and Datadog • Experience working with Git and automated CI/CD tools • Strong ability to coordinate sizeable multidisciplinary product engineering squads • Ability to motivate teams through practical challenges and foster psychological safety • Experience building and launching large-scale user-facing products to market • Comfortable with modern delivery practices, including DevOps principles • Passionate about the crypto ecosystem • Nice-to-have: crypto and trading knowledge • Nice-to-have: Kubernetes, gRPC, REST, microservices, and cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP • Nice-to-have: experience with user-facing mobile or web products • Nice-to-have: knowledge of Shape Up or similar fixed-cycle product development methodologies
