📋 Description

• Cultivate a safety-first mindset within the engineering unit • Collaborate with FAA, DoD, and NASA Certification Authorities through the certification process • Develop and implement engineering strategies focused on safety and reliability • Oversee preparation and submission of technical certification documentation • Mentor and develop engineering staff on safety protocols, certification artifacts, and processes • Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges using data-driven decision-making and industry best practices • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure timely delivery and achievement of safety and certification milestones

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor Degree • U.S. Person status required for export control compliance, including U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee • 9+ years of experience in software engineering • 5+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices • 5+ years of experience applying or working within guidelines of RTCA DO-178 standard • 5+ years of experience leading software development projects • Recent experience in DoD or NASA Software Certification Engineer roles, or as an FAA DER or TSO Certification Specialist in Software or AEH • 6+ years’ experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems • Experience with concurrent software and distributed systems • Experience using Git or similar software version control tools • Experience with Agile planning tools such as JIRA • Must complete a technical assessment during the selection process • Must be willing to travel up to 15% • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status • Security clearance is not required • Drug testing may apply to post-offer applicants and employees
