📋 Description

• Own pipelines and data models supporting product, treasury, finance, accounting and compliance teams • Partner with cross-functional teams to design data requirements, models, business logic and pipelines • Develop understanding of custody, reserves, reconciliation and customer balances • Build reconciliation, data quality checks and alerting frameworks • Lead incident resolution and design preventative solutions • Ingest and model large-scale data from multiple blockchains, handling reorganizations, late or missing records and schema changes • Ensure data is documented, trustworthy and fit for use • Reframe requests into better data products and identify poorly scoped requests • Build scalable automated solutions using SQL, Python, orchestration, transformation tooling and AI • Review code, models and designs • Mentor junior engineers • Share work with larger audiences to explain data and financial systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or similar), or equivalent experience • 6+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines and models • Proficiency in SQL and Python • Experience with a modern data stack: a cloud data warehouse, an orchestrator such as Airflow, and a transformation tool such as dbt • Experience owning a data domain end to end • Strong communication skills and ability to explain systems clearly to non-technical audiences • Strong collaboration skills across product engineering, data, finance, accounting, treasury and compliance • Strong sense of ownership and accountability in triaging, investigating and resolving data or pipeline issues • Experience with blockchain data, financial services, banking or other regulated industries is a plus, but not required
