📋 Description

• Own and build key backend services and infrastructure powering the ClickStack observability platform • Ensure reliable, high-throughput data pipelines and APIs • Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers • Solve community and customer challenges and incorporate feedback into backend architecture and API design • Design and implement scalable backend systems for ingesting, processing, and querying petabytes of observability data • Build foundational services that help engineers diagnose production issues • Contribute occasionally to Go-based services • Help shape company culture in a rapidly scaling startup

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development • Preference for experience building developer tools or infrastructure • Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills • Experience with Express, Fastify, or similar frameworks • Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and data modeling • Experience with Go is a plus • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes • Passion for open source and the developer community • Experience creating developer tooling • Experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or other analytical/OLTP databases is a bonus • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, logging pipelines, or metrics infrastructure is a bonus • Experience with SDKs or client library design is a bonus • Exposure to Kafka, NATS, message queues, streaming systems, or event-driven architectures is a bonus • Ability to work in the United States / current location and answer work sponsorship questions as part of the application
