📋 Description

• Lead Coinbase’s greenfield native mobile app rewrite • Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of core native app surfaces in Swift and Kotlin • Establish constrained architecture and compile-time boundaries enforcing strict quality standards • Lead the agentic code translation workflow and develop automated migration systems • Decide which translation work is automated versus handled by humans • Improve build speeds, local development workflows, CI/CD reliability, architectural patterns, and documentation • Shape the dual-app agentic synchronization strategy during the transition • Design daily agent automations and human review processes to keep native and React Native codebases in sync • Define mobile engineering best practices across Coinbase • Mentor L3-L5 mobile engineers across teams • Foster connection and support among mobile engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of iOS or Android mobile software engineering experience • Working proficiency in both Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android, with willingness to develop cross-platform fluency • Track record of shipping high-quality mobile applications at scale • Ownership of architecture decisions, performance budgets, and release quality • Deep understanding of mobile performance optimization, including cold start, frame stability, scroll jank, and time to interaction • Experience profiling and tuning across device tiers, including low-end Android • Ability to translate organizational strategy into team-level technical execution • Ability to build alignment across cross-team and cross-functional partners • Experience with AI-assisted code generation or LLM-driven development workflows • Judgment on what to automate and what requires human review • Experience improving developer experience through build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and release tooling • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
