📋 Description

• Import fabrication engineering models and produce 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC programs • Design and develop fabrication-ready 3D models and drawings for required CNC fixtures and jigs • Extract and manipulate geometry from engineering models for part-nesting and cut-lists • Communicate with the Machines Manager, Engineering team, and CNC Operators to ensure successful fabrication of all parts • Review specified materials to understand their intended use and limitations • Develop complete mill handoff packages from model import to final CNC program • Design, model, and program CAM paths for multi-part fixtures • Establish feedback loops with CNC operators to improve program efficiency • Identify and advocate for operational changes that reduce inefficiency and increase production throughput

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in CNC programming, machining, or production engineering, typically gained over 2-4 years • Proficiency in Rhino 3D and Mastercam (3-axis and 5-axis) • Solid understanding of CAM post-processing and machine constraints • Ability to design effective fixtures and jigs for CNC operations • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (preferred) • Experience with custom fabrication or complex geometries (preferred) • Familiarity with g-code and machine positional controls (preferred) • Experience using Grasshopper or similar parametric modeling software (preferred) • Employees must comply with the employee handbook, local, State and Federal laws, and management instructions
