📋 Description

• Provide technical and project leadership for BAS, PMS/EPMS, controls integration, and smart building solutions • Plan and design BAS/PMS and integrated control systems • Develop, document, and maintain DLB controls, BAS, EPMS, and specification standards • Oversee subconsultant scopes, statements of objectives, construction drawings, and technical specifications • Review subconsultant deliverables for completeness, accuracy, project alignment, codes, and regulations using the DLB QAQC process • Coordinate with project teams and external partners to monitor scope compliance, quality, and timely delivery • Create and manage design drawings, sequences of operations, and specifications • Assist with AutoCAD and Revit engineering drawings, including floor plans, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel diagrams • Coordinate BAS-related items with MEP trades • Identify scope changes and help minimize impacts on costs and deadlines • Manage project deliverables when not serving as lead design engineer • Provide standards training, guidance, and compliance support to staff and outsource partners • Manage and review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and project closeout documents • Assist with construction administration activities • Assist with and manage onsite BAS engineering audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit surveys • Prepare and oversee project progress reports and departmental reports • Administer project contracts • Leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and work quality • Identify process improvements and support adoption of emerging technologies • Serve as technical lead or project point of contact and coordinate engineering and production staff as needed • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• B.A. / B.S. degree in Engineering, construction, or related disciplines • Minimum of 8 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering • Advanced knowledge of open-source protocols, including BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP • Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions • Knowledge of typical data center control redundancy strategies • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction of mission-critical or commercial buildings • Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD • Skilled in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize processes • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment • Ability to identify and analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to communicate directly with clients and serve as primary client contact when needed • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision • Ability to plan and delegate the work of others • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to meet physical demands, including remaining stationary, moving through office/facility environments, and occasionally moving equipment up to 25 pounds • Approximately 10% travel to client sites, partner offices, or company events across the U.S.
