• Design quantum-safe target architectures and migration paths for customer networks across WAN and transport, data center and campus, segmentation and access control, key management, and cryptography • Lead technical discovery and architecture workshops with network, security, and infrastructure teams • Assess customers’ current state, identify embedded or brittle cryptography, and build executable migration plans • Own the technical thread in complex pursuits, including architecture proposals, RFI/RFP responses, security and compliance questions, competitive positioning, and objection handling • Design and run proofs of concept, interoperability tests, and pilots involving PQC, hybrid key exchange, and QKD-integrated links where relevant • Translate field learning into reference architectures, migration playbooks, interoperability matrices, and design guides • Represent the customer voice in Product and Engineering, communicating architectural constraints, integration gaps, and roadmap requirements • Track standards and the threat landscape, including NIST PQC guidance, IETF protocol work, and national or sector-specific mandates • Partner with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and GTM on talks, papers, blogs, standards bodies, and industry events • Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews, mentoring, and reusable design patterns
• 15+ years designing and securing enterprise and/or service provider networks in solutions architecture, network architecture, security architecture, or senior customer-facing engineering • Deep hands-on knowledge of routing and switching, IP transport, network segmentation, firewall and access control design, VPN and network-layer encryption, and Zero Trust principles • Multi-vendor experience, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Nokia • Working knowledge of TLS, IPsec, MACsec, PKI and certificate lifecycle, key management, and practical algorithm and key-material changes • Ability to lead customer workshops and architecture discussions with engineers, CISOs, and SVPs of Infrastructure • Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography, crypto-agility, quantum key distribution, and network migration challenges • Strong written communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Willingness to travel up to 30%, primarily within the US, with incidental international travel • U.S. Person status or qualifying U.S. citizenship, nationality, permanent residency, refugee, or asylum status may be required for export controls and government contracts work
