📋 Description

• Own end-to-end response strategy for complex L&A and TPA RFI/RFPs • Lead intake and structured decomposition of RFI/RFP requirements • Facilitate solutioning sessions with SMEs, delivery leads, product managers, and technology architects • Craft win themes, differentiators, and executive summaries • Maintain a reusable proposal content library • Lead proposal reviews through final submission • Represent the solution during oral presentations, client Q&A, and BAFO negotiations • Architect target operating models for L&A policy administration, platform conversions, and managed TPA services • Define scope, phasing, integration architecture, data migration, hosting models, and governance frameworks • Lead client technical due-diligence workshops and map requirements to EXL platform capabilities • Develop architecture decision records and solution blueprints • Ensure designs comply with insurance regulations and privacy frameworks • Apply operational expertise across policy lifecycle, claims, billing, commissions, reinsurance, and regulatory support • Structure TPA service models with RACI, SLA frameworks, and performance metrics • Advise on workforce optimization, automation, and operational transformation roadmaps • Own estimation governance and lead multidisciplinary estimation workshops • Develop ROM, detailed, and fixed-price models • Maintain estimation intelligence and calibrate estimates against actuals • Define pricing strategies and model commercial scenarios and sensitivities • Coach junior architects and analysts • Partner with Sales and Account leadership on qualification and pursuit strategy • Conduct discovery workshops with client stakeholders • Develop solution decks, roadmaps, and executive briefing materials • Lead RFP orals, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept presentations • Transition won deals to Delivery and support project kickoff • Track competitor positioning, win/loss analysis, and emerging client needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or related field • 10–15 years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance, including substantial operational or TPA administration experience • Minimum 5 years in presales, solution consulting, or solution architecture supporting complex RFI/RFP responses and client-facing solution design • Proven experience leading estimation for multi-million-dollar L&A platform implementations, conversions, or TPA managed-service engagements • Deep expertise across Term Life, Universal Life, Whole Life, Variable Life, Fixed/Variable Annuities, Indexed Annuities, Group Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care • Hands-on experience with LifePRO, FAST, ALIP, DXC VANTAGE, Oracle Insurance, or equivalent • Strong command of TPA operating models, SLA design, operational governance, and performance management frameworks • Experience authoring and winning competitive RFI/RFP responses in the insurance BPO/BPaaS or platform services market • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, process and architecture diagrams, and Word • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, ETL pipelines, data migration, middleware, and microservices • Understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud hosting and SaaS delivery models • Exposure to RPA, intelligent document processing, predictive underwriting, and claims triage • Ability to interpret actuarial summaries, operational KPI reports, and financial models • Working knowledge of NAIC model regulations, state-level insurance codes, and regulatory filing processes • Familiarity with SOX controls, CCPA, and HIPAA data-privacy obligations • MBA or Master's degree preferred • LOMA FLMI, FLHC, or ACS designation preferred • Experience with EXL platform solutions or BPO service lines preferred • Experience in Agile and hybrid delivery environments preferred • Background in reinsurance administration, group benefits, or worksite voluntary benefits preferred • Prior P&L accountability or commercial ownership preferred
