📋 Description

• Own the current state of AWS systems and identify gaps and improvement areas • Improve operational excellence across the USPTO AWS environment with the operations lead • Serve as a final escalation point with the Program Manager to ensure response SLAs are met • Collaborate with client stakeholders and customers to define technical requirements and objectives • Help modernize USPTO systems, adopt AI practices, design system improvements, and oversee client deliverables • Lead a team of DevOps Engineers and ensure innovative, secure cloud strategies • Build a culture of continuous improvement • Identify improvement opportunities from customer requests and maintain and prioritize an improvement backlog • Partner with senior leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and agency personnel to develop cloud adoption strategies • Collaborate directly with a federal client to modernize and expand cloud capabilities • Shape architectures, synthesize cross-agency requirements, and drive successful implementation

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizen/Green Card Holder eligible for Public Trust clearance • 10+ years of IT/digital transformation experience • 5+ years of hands-on AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture and implementation experience • Strong communication and collaboration ability • Expertise leading multi-tenant cloud systems, such as landing zones and multi-account systems • Team management experience, including leading and developing team members • Experience proactively identifying and driving improvements in cloud infrastructure • Experience developing and managing high-availability, secure, and automated solutions aligned with best practices • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and tools, such as Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab • Experience bridging on-premise systems with cloud environments • Professional cloud certifications are preferred
