📋 Description

• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and support of complex applications and processes • Meet eMedNY Program standards for specification development, coding, code review, unit and string testing, and related documentation • Create documentation artifacts associated with SDLC stages for review and approval • Assist in preparing effort and duration estimates for systemic enhancements • Assist with production and other support activities and resolve issues • Stay current with industry technical and development trends and standards • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends • Code functional programs and applications associated with the eMedNY program • Support the eMedNY Systems Development, Application Development team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline • 5+ years of IT experience • 5+ years of COBOL, CICS and DB2 experience • Excellent knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2 and mainframe technologies • Knowledge of open systems interfaces and technologies • Structured Query Language (SQL) • Knowledge and experience with NYS MMIS or other Healthcare • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) — HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0 • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment and independently • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail • Preferred: IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), J2EE, Java, JMS, JUnit, Spring Framework, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery, Angular JS, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, Apache Ant, Maven, XML-related technologies, Eclipse IDE, Linux, Agile Scrum, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
