📋 Description

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of developers to design, program, deploy, and support clinical applications within the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) • Design, develop, code, test, and debug complex new software products • Make significant enhancements to existing software • Analyze, develop, and recommend technical solutions for client requirements and moderately complex application design issues • Consider network platform and system security requirements in application design • Support application user interface accessibility requirements using best-practice and industry-standard approaches • Provide input for technical documentation, user manuals, system documentation, and training materials • Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for clinical applications within the IHS RPMS system • Provide input to testers to validate software changes • Prepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 8+ years of Software Development experience in FileMan/M/Cache • General experience with information system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing • Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare sector (preferred) • Advanced knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS, CPRS, or legacy VISTA (preferred) • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines (preferred) • Understanding of Agile processes and the related QA lifecycle (preferred) • Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team (preferred) • Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps (preferred) • Must be able to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust, requiring residency in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years • No US Citizenship required
