• Build and maintain internal and partner-facing applications, including the broker portal, dashboards, and workflow tools • Develop front-end applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS • Own interaction and visual quality, including layout, states, empty and error cases, responsiveness, and accessibility • Develop back-end services and APIs using Azure Functions and Node.js/TypeScript, with Python or C#/.NET for specific services • Work in Postgres through an ORM, writing queries and evolving schemas • Build AI-powered features with real-time streaming responses and maintain their correctness as prompts, models, and knowledge bases change • Help build tooling that enables AI assistants and agents to securely operate internal systems and data • Implement role-based access control, audit logging, and input validation • Write tested, reviewed code and follow version control, CI/CD, and code review practices • Design and maintain integrations between internal systems, the loan origination system, and third-party e-sign and email platforms • Build, monitor, and optimize workflow automations using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and low-code tools • Maintain mortgage-industry data governance, security, and compliance requirements • Triage support tickets, fix bugs, monitor application health, and coordinate releases • Own assigned problems end to end and remain accountable for shipped outcomes • Update architecture notes, API references, diagrams, changelog entries, and release notes
• 3+ years building and shipping web applications, or equivalent demonstrable project experience • Portfolio, GitHub, work samples, or architecture walkthrough of a proprietary system • Ability to explain how built systems work and why design choices were made • Fluency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar, with full ownership of results • Comfort defining feature behavior through test cases and real-world feedback • Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript, with hands-on React • Back-end API experience in at least one of Node.js, C#, or Python • Working SQL and relational schema design; Postgres ideal • Git and pull-request workflows • Clear written and spoken communication across technical and business teams • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Company systems and borrower data may be accessed only from JMAC-provided, centrally managed equipment • Preferred, not required: Next.js App Router, Prisma or another ORM, or Supabase • Preferred, not required: Azure or Vercel • Preferred, not required: automated testing with Vitest or Jest and CI/CD pipelines • Preferred, not required: exposure to evaluating LLM or retrieval systems • Preferred, not required: Python for PDF/document processing or C#/.NET • Preferred, not required: real-time or streaming UIs using server-sent events, WebSockets, or similar • Preferred, not required: mortgage, fintech, or regulated-industry experience, or eagerness to learn the domain
