📋 Description

• Design the target-state Atlassian architecture, including instance and tenancy design, project and workflow schemes, permissions, issue security, custom field strategy, and naming standards for Jira Software Cloud • Lead discovery, assessment, migration waves, sequencing, and cutover decisions for consolidating multiple Jira instances • Establish configuration standards, architecture review mechanisms, and authoritative change control while preserving engineering flexibility • Decide between native Atlassian capabilities, marketplace apps, Forge, Connect, and custom development • Architect Atlassian Access, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, authentication policies, IP allowlisting, permission architecture, and data residency • Separate customer-facing portals from internal work and design for regulated data and audit requirements • Design applications of Rovo, Atlassian Intelligence, and Claude for knowledge management, search grounding, ticket deflection, and administrative automation • Mentor architects and administrators across the US, India, and Mexico • Produce reference architectures, decision records, and automation libraries

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in the Atlassian ecosystem • 3+ years in an architecture or platform design capacity • Experience designing and standing up enterprise Jira Software Cloud environments • Experience leading Cloud-to-Cloud consolidations at scale • Experience building configuration standards and balancing control with team autonomy • Deep Jira Software expertise and working knowledge of Confluence and JSM • Knowledge of JSM request types, SLAs, queues, portal design, knowledge structure, and deflection strategy • Current practical use of Rovo, Atlassian Intelligence, Claude, or similar AI tools, with demonstrable work built using them • Program planning, sequencing, and dependency-management ability • Experience in regulated environments involving access control, audit evidence, and data handling constraints • Healthcare, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience ideally • Experience owning an internal company platform rather than only delivering client projects • ACP-620 or ACP-120 certification preferred, not required • Ability to work across multiple time zones • Candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment criminal background check • Must be eligible to work remotely in the US
