📋 Description

• Ensure the resilience, performance, and security of the enterprise Cloud Platform • Work alongside partner Reliability Engineering and Enablement teams supporting critical Engineering Experience services • Deliver on reliability engineering initiatives • Remove toil through automation • Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions • Lead incident triage and perform root cause analysis • Drive no-repeat resolutions of systemic problems through blameless postmortems and problem management • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software • Develop functional and destructive test suites to enable rapid production deployment • Collaborate with team members in agile processes • Work with Product Teams to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, understandable, and testable • Design and execute destructive, performance, and failure-scenario tests, including team drills validating operational readiness • Establish and enforce Service Level Objectives for highly available paved-path solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Minimum 3 years of work experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a related engineering field or reliability engineering domain • Experience with ITIL processes and production systems support and maintenance, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management • Experience leveraging AI tooling to compress MTTD, MTTM, and MTTR • Experience with BASH, Python, Golang, TypeScript, Java, YAML, JSON, and HCL • Experience with Terraform and Ansible • Experience managing Google Cloud Platform or equivalent projects and services • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry • Strong understanding of Kubernetes/GKE and modern microservice architectures • Familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems • Experience with Wiz and security frameworks • Experience designing and executing destructive, performance, and failure-scenario tests • Experience with debugging and root cause analysis techniques • Experience with version control systems • Strong understanding of SLOs and core SRE principles and practices • Experience producing operational status communications, real-time reporting, documentation, and peer mentorship
