📋 Description

• Designs and develops complex Java applications, microservices and REST APIs • Creates technical designs and breaks work into tasks and estimates • Leads code reviews and enforces coding and security standards • Improves application performance, reliability and maintainability • Troubleshoots and resolves complex production issues • Mentors Java developers and supports their growth • Works with DevOps staff to improve build and deployment pipelines • Performs other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required • 7+ years of Java development experience • Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2 • Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers • Preferred: Experience with containers and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure • Preferred: Oracle Certified Professional Java certification • Preferred: Experience supporting federal government contracts
