• Provide senior functional and automation testing support for a government contract client • Own test strategy and automation for complex, distributed, or cloud-based systems • Lead and execute functional testing and test automation throughout the software development lifecycle • Define and implement regression plans and release-readiness validation • Perform automated unit, API, and user interface testing • Work within CI/CD pipeline environments and DevSecOps/SecDevOps practices • Validate secure coding expectations and security controls • Test Kafka-based message/event-driven workflows and asynchronous processing • Test microservices and serverless applications, including contract validation and integration testing • Troubleshoot failures by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces; support defect triage • Apply performance, reliability, multi-threading, and observability validation practices • Communicate quality risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• US Citizenship is required • Active Public Trust level clearance is required • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience • 5–10 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or software development with significant testing/automation responsibilities • Experience owning test strategy and automation for complex, distributed, or cloud-based systems • Experience leading and executing functional testing and test automation across the software development lifecycle • Ability to define and implement test strategies for distributed/cloud applications, including regression planning and release readiness • Experience with automated unit, API, and user interface testing • Familiarity with TDD concepts and automation-first approaches • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source code management, and build/deployment tooling such as GitLab and Jenkins • Working knowledge of secure coding and secure engineering expectations • Experience validating message/event-driven systems, including Kafka-based workflows and asynchronous processing • Experience testing API-centric architectures such as microservices and serverless applications • Familiarity with cloud and data pipeline technologies including Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Redis • Strong troubleshooting skills involving logs, metrics, traces, failure isolation, and defect triage • Technical fluency in one or more automation/validation languages such as Java, Python, SQL, or JavaScript • Knowledge of performance tuning, multi-threading, reliability, and observability concepts • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
