📋 Description

• Design and implement application layers, business logic, and API workflows for cloud infrastructure and relational database services • Lead features end-to-end from whiteboard through production • Write clean, scalable, production-grade code • Leverage cloud orchestration expertise for robust multi-cloud deployments • Build robust cloud infrastructure for a globally deployed relational database engine • Develop cloud-native applications, controllers, and automation tooling • Design and operate multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated, scalable deployments • Deploy, debug, and manage application services across public clouds • Build or integrate vector databases, embedding pipelines, semantic search, and RAG systems • Build LLM-based applications or workflows using AI agent frameworks • Implement relational database features including SQL, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and schema design • Implement temporal data models, event-driven tracking, audit logs, and security controls • Implement REST and/or gRPC APIs for external consumers or frontend systems • Collaborate within a small, high-ownership team with direct visibility into engineering strategy

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development with deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture • Proven track record of designing and operating multi-cloud infrastructure at scale across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Advanced proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and complex cloud orchestration • Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker in production-grade environments • Experience building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines • Strong command of Go or Python for cloud-native applications, controllers, and automation tooling • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field • Experience designing and implementing REST and/or gRPC APIs • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on data-intensive applications, database-adjacent features, or enterprise software • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a non-trivial production feature or module • Hands-on production experience across at least two major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Experience with vector databases, embedding pipelines, semantic search, or RAG systems • Prior work building LLM-based applications or workflows using AI agent frameworks • Strong proficiency in Python and high proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Java, or C++ • Deep practical knowledge of relational databases, complex SQL, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and schema design • Experience with temporal data models, event-driven tracking, audit logs, or system-versioned tables • Understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, row-level security, and multi-tenant data isolation • Proficiency with structured logging, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, and alerting • Knowledge of MariaDB server is a plus
