📋 Description

• Build self-service tooling for cloud databases, bridging platform engineering and database teams • Design, implement, and maintain a reliable, scalable, and agile enterprise hybrid application platform • Orchestrate and automate software packaging, integration, testing, and deployment • Gather requirements, design, and implement CI/CD in collaboration with technical teams and customers • Implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment • Set up and automate environments and streamline infrastructure stand-up and scale-out using Infrastructure as Code • Develop and improve monitoring and alerting systems • Automate security activities including code, package, and vulnerability scanning • Develop automated tests, deployment tests, code versioning, and GitHub Actions • Define development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations • Build and improve continuous integration, continuous development, and continuous deployment pipelines • Architect, design, and deploy AWS resources, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance • Manage and leverage Docker and Kubernetes container platforms • Outline DevOps execution strategies for different projects with Engineering teams • Drive organization-wide automation using Terraform, configuration management, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins • Identify security risks and incidents, recommend improvements, and create automation to detect and mitigate risks • Own the company’s CI/CD technology stack and execute roadmap items with SME teams and system owners • Research and recommend technologies, solutions, protocols, and standards for the enterprise CI/CD platform • Own the company’s service-hosting decision tree across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud options • Provide regular full-time attendance and 7x24 system support as required • Demonstrate Mercury’s core values and interact professionally with customers, vendors, superiors, and peers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology areas • Minimum 18–20 years overall related technology experience • 8–10 years’ experience in heavy infrastructure, DevOps / CICD in large transformation organizations • Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira / Confluence • Knowledge of web application development • Deep experience with Docker, Apache Camel, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python and scripting languages • Experience working within Agile development teams • Knowledge / expertise in cloud platforms, Linux Operating Systems, Networking, and Database • Deep experience with DevOps management tools, including repository, packaging, unit testing, code scanning, package scanning such as Maven, Gradle, Helm, and Sonatype • Prior exposure to continuous integration/delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI • Ability to work on demand to provide 7x24 mission-critical support • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to collaborate throughout all levels of the organization and with vendors and external partners • A DevOps Engineer Certificate preferred
