📋 Description

• Design, review, and build well-crafted software with fellow Nava engineers • Collaborate with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements • Work in an agile manner to ship features meeting user needs • Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows • Write and review technical documentation and perform code reviews • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues • Participate in hiring activities such as referrals, interviews, and interview debriefs • Improve engineering quality through documentation, technical guidance, mentoring, and best practices • Lead significant migration efforts and obtain government stakeholder buy-in on technical initiatives • Collaborate with product teams, government stakeholders, and contractors to build and improve systems

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Django or Flask • At least 7 years of full-stack engineering experience contributing to development initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with minimal supervision • Meaningful experience working on web-based systems across front-end and back-end • Experience designing and implementing highly scalable, available, and performant application architectures and code • Experience working on large-scale applications and systems • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and architecture • Expertise developing well-crafted software • Experience with modern web development frameworks • Previous experience as a software engineer • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision • Ability to work collaboratively on a team • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Ability to meet requirements for applicable government contracts • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract • Must reside in one of the listed states and work from the contiguous United States
