📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex cloud-native applications and microservices • Develop backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful architectures • Design and implement microservices-based and event-driven architectures • Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift • Develop solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services and other approved cloud-native technologies • Modernize legacy applications for cloud and containerized environments • Develop and maintain integrations between applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise services • Implement automated application build, testing, security scanning, and deployment processes using Harness CI/CD orchestration • Use Git, Maven/Gradle, Terraform, Harness, and related development and deployment tools • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and enterprise standards • Integrate Snyk and SonarQube into the development lifecycle • Apply Dapr/distributed application runtime technologies where appropriate • Troubleshoot complex application, integration, container, and cloud deployment issues • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development, architecture, security, and coding standards • Support application performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and availability • Develop technical documentation, application designs, interface specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment documentation • Work within Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps delivery environments • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level developers • Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, cybersecurity personnel, QA engineers, product owners, business analysts, data engineers, and other PIVOT teams throughout the SDLC

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of demonstrated professional experience in software engineering, application development, cloud development, or a closely related technical field • Advanced experience developing enterprise applications and services using Java/Spring Boot or comparable modern application-development technologies • Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, application integration, and distributed systems • Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift or comparable container orchestration platforms • Experience developing and deploying applications in GCP or another major public cloud platform • Experience with source-code management using Git and build/dependency management using Maven and/or Gradle • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, and DevSecOps practices • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform • Experience troubleshooting complex application, cloud, integration, and deployment issues in production or enterprise environments • Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating throughout the software development lifecycle • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • U.S. Citizenship • Ability to obtain Public Trust • Active Public Trust is preferred • FEMA Public Trust is highly preferred
