📋 Description

• Design and build scalable services and APIs for web applications • Architect and maintain backend systems, database models, and infrastructure • Analyze product requirements and produce production-ready code focused on reliability and performance • Maintain system and codebase health; refactor and improve systems • Contribute to frontend code when needed to ship features end-to-end • Own work and remain accountable for implementation details • Collaborate with engineers and product and design partners • Write clear specifications to ensure product and code quality • Drive large releases to production on a continuous deployment cadence

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in a start-up environment • 5+ years of relevant experience in backend development with some frontend exposure • Strong fundamentals in API design, database architecture, and distributed systems • Expertise in Typescript/Node and backend frameworks • Comfort with React and frontend technologies • Understanding of performant, scalable systems • Strong communication skills • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership • Applicants must be based in the United States • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must be able to travel 2–4 times per year for team offsite meetings
