📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications • Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues • Support enhancements and sustainment activities for legacy enterprise applications • Design and implement REST and SOAP-based services and integrations • Develop and maintain modern backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs • Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization initiatives • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers • Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments • Work independently and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions • Work within a fast-paced environment • Work standard business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional extended or weekend hours based on operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience • 5–7 years of professional software development experience • 5+ years of Java development experience in microservices architecture on enterprise production solutions • 3+ years of experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot • 5+ years of experience developing REST APIs and web services • Experience with Oracle or other relational databases • Experience using Git-based source control • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Preferred: Experience with WebLogic application server administration or deployment • Preferred: Experience with Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, or other enterprise Java technologies • Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized applications • Preferred: Experience supporting federal government or VA programs • Preferred: Experience with Jira and Confluence • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting
