📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and grow a senior team spanning platform engineering and technical program management • Own the AI access layer, including identity and authentication for AI tools, connector and integration allowlisting, tiered permissions, and adoption guardrails • Build AI cost engineering capabilities for attribution, model right-sizing, agent and automation spend traceability, budgets, and alerting • Own the MCP layer for internal tools, including commissioning, decommissioning, governance, and migration impact assessment • Own the paved path for internal applications, including golden-path deployment, private-by-default defaults, lifecycle policy, and build-versus-buy decisions • Build enablement capabilities including a skills and agent registry, evaluation framework, and technical enablement on sanctioned tools • Define and maintain the Corporate Engineering charter, ownership boundaries, intake process, and roadmap • Convene a cross-functional forum to coordinate departmental AI efforts • Partner with Engineering, GRC, Security, Data, Finance, and People through coordination and influence

🎯 Requirements

• Experience standing up an internal AI or developer platform function from a blank page • Experience writing a charter, defining intake, and building a roadmap • Ability to scope commitments and deliver bounded first versions • Fluency in AI cost engineering, including usage attribution, model right-sizing, token economics, agent cost traceability, budgets, and guardrails • Hands-on technical depth across LLM platform tooling, agent and MCP architecture, identity and OAuth, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code • Ability to build platforms for non-developer users without lowering the security bar • Data governance fluency in a regulated environment • Comfort operating through influence across partner organizations • 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering • 3+ years managing and developing engineers • Experience at a company that scaled through a significant headcount inflection is ideal • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship • Curiosity, willingness to learn, sound judgment, and responsible use of AI
