📋 Description

• Develop and implement key gameplay systems and features for an online multiplayer RPG • Build extensible architecture supporting online, evolving gameplay in a live environment • Collaborate with design to build core gameplay systems and supporting tools • Architect and develop high-quality, low-latency, highly responsive code with project engineering • Participate in development from concept through live-ops • Integrate game systems with internal and external shared services and libraries • Perform peer code reviews and champion code excellence • Mentor junior engineers and provide design guidance • Work with design and product teams on feature viability, costing, design completeness, and risk assessment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience working on cross-functional teams • Experience on at least one successfully published large-scale multiplayer online game title or equivalent • Experience on at least one successfully published game title or equivalent • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience • Proficiency in C++ including templates, exception handling, and multithreading • Knowledge of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures • Strong 3D mathematics, including linear algebra, vector/matrix math, and quaternions • Proficiency with Unreal Engine, including core systems, player input, game modes, and user interfaces • Understanding of game development disciplines and their inputs into the content pipeline • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills • Passion for online multiplayer RPGs and deep experience with online games • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in online gaming • Understanding of performance analysis and optimizations
