📋 Description

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot for new credit application journeys • Assist in migrating business logic from Salesforce Apex/Flows into independent cloud-native services • Build and document REST APIs supporting A/B testing and multi-channel frontends • Implement modular Adjudication components integrating with third-party credit bureaus and risk engines • Ensure data synchronization between PostgreSQL databases and Salesforce using event-driven patterns • Write test-first code using JUnit/Mockito • Contribute to automated CI/CD pipelines • Help modernize WEX’s Digital Credit Application and replace legacy Salesforce-heavy workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in backend software development • Deep hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security • Proven ability to build and scale RESTful services • Experience with AWS, including Lambda, EC2, and RDS • Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL • Practical experience with asynchronous messaging such as Kafka or RabbitMQ • Comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Maven/Gradle • Ability to debug complex issues across distributed systems • Prior Salesforce experience is a plus • Strong desire to rapidly acquire new skills, tools, and domain knowledge with minimal supervision • Initiative, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to take on new challenges • Excellent collaboration and communication skills • Candidate must reside within 30 miles of Portland, ME; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; or Seattle, WA
