📋 Description

• Design, build and maintain Java (17+) services using Spring Boot and a microservices architecture • Build and consume RESTful APIs; work with event/streaming and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ/JMS) • Write clean, well-tested code — TDD/BDD, unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito) • Containerise and deploy services (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) • Integrate with relational and/or ​ NoSQL data stores (Oracle/PostgreSQL; DB2 a plus given the estate) • Contribute to solution design, code reviews, and non-functional concerns — performance, resilience, security, observability • Collaborate with architects, BAs, testers and product owners; support SIT/UAT and production releases

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years hands-on Java engineering • Strong, current Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Data, Security) • Proven microservices design and delivery in production • REST API design; messaging/streaming (Kafka or similar) • CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift; Git • Automated testing discipline (JUnit, Mockito; ideally contract/integration testing) • Comfortable in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment
