Description

• Develop a high-performing team of engineers • Measure performance in quality, accessibility, reliability, performance, security, attitude, creativity, communication, and collaboration • Hands-on role involving coding, PR reviews, pairing with engineers, participating in guild-level priorities • Lead a team of 5-8 engineers with a focus on cross-functional initiatives • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Product Managers, Designers, and Technical Program Managers • Develop best practices and cohesion at the guild level • Mentor team members to grow and succeed • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written • Invest in people, provide mentorship, and offer critical feedback • Minimize unnecessary bureaucracy and empower the team to operate efficiently • Lean into difficult conversations with curiosity and compassion

Requirements

• Excellent engineer with JVM Software Engineer proficiency • Previous experience managing teams • Love for mentorship • Outstanding communicator • Ability to differentiate between micromanagement and providing mentorship • Determination to minimize unnecessary bureaucracy • Ability to lean into hard conversations with curiosity and compassion
