• Pulumi is looking for a Director of Events Marketing who will play a key role in driving awareness and consideration for our product within developer communities. In this role, your mission will be to generate awareness of our product through industry and community-led events, and accelerate the impact of our sales team using field marketing programs and tactics. • Expect to be challenged, learn, teach, and collaborate with a world-class team of people. • Location: Remote - USA. Pulumi is headquartered in Seattle, WA. • In This Job You Will: - Define and develop event marketing at Pulumi - assess our community’s needs and build programs to support sales, marketing and most importantly, our customers. - Play a key role in driving community growth and engagement through event marketing, in partnership with our partner, developer advocate, sales, and customer support teams - Develop and maintain an integrated events calendar and related budget - Project manage events end-to-end; manage contracts, communication, planning, logistics, and overall execution of events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars/workshops, meetups, user groups and occasional team-building activities. - Act as the primary logistical support person for marketing events and trade shows. This includes shipping of materials, booth properties, graphics, computers, literature, promotional items, rental equipment, and tracking during transportation. - Educate internal staff on event responsibilities, task assignments, and equipment allocation to ensure alignment with department and company objectives - Partner with other members of the team to develop promotional strategies - Ensure that all event lead metrics are recorded and subsequent follow strategy is implemented • To Be Successful In This Role, You Have: - 6+ years in field marketing with deep developer events and field marketing experience - Ability to manage large-scale first and third-party events (industry trade shows, user conferences, etc.) as well as smaller community-focused user groups and meetups - Experience with end-to-end event marketing - A strong collaborator with excellent communication and cross-functional project management skills - An appreciation of Open Source startups and their impact on the technical community - Successful at delivering, accelerating and expanding the sales pipeline through field marketing initiatives - Experience working with partner marketing programs and engaging with a partner community
