A2Z emphasizes deep integrations with CRM and DMS systems, OEM incentives, and dealer operations to deliver a consistent, faster, and more profitable automotive retail experience.

📋 Description

• Own multiple product or platform areas end to end with teams of roughly 3–5 engineers across onshore and offshore locations • Lead service design and delivery from design documentation through dual-write rollout, traffic-splitting, per-tenant feature flags, and clean cutover • Define monolith seams, domain-owned service boundaries, extraction priorities, and data migration approaches • Deliver full-stack vertical slices using independently deployable React/Next.js micro-frontends, API/BFF contracts, shared design systems, domain-owned event-driven microservices, and independent pipelines • Own performance and monitoring, including Core Web Vitals, API latency budgets, OpenTelemetry tracing, CloudWatch dashboards, and load baselines before cutovers • Co-deliver AI agents by owning domain-side tool contracts, schemas, SLAs, idempotency, evaluation fixtures, and guardrails • Own team velocity, productivity, and engineering quality across agentic harness loop-engineering practices • Establish reusable patterns, cross-team contracts, code and design review cadence, on-call practices, and incident ownership • Mentor engineers and serve as the technical leader without being a manager

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a tech lead or staff engineer • Strong proficiency in at least 3 of Python, Java/Spring Boot, PHP/Laravel, and TypeScript/React • Ability to ship production code in a primary stack and review pull requests in other listed stacks • Hands-on production experience with AWS Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, ECS or Fargate, RDS/Aurora, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and CloudWatch • Battle-tested experience decomposing monoliths into microservices using domain-driven service boundaries, strangler fig patterns, anti-corruption layers, shared-database splitting, dual-write validation, traffic-splitting, and canary or per-tenant rollout • Experience shipping frontend applications with React or similar and backend services in the same product area, including ownership of performance and monitoring • Experience integrating third-party APIs at scale using REST, SOAP, webhooks, idempotency, retry/backoff, and vendor-specific handling • Comfort with relational MySQL/Aurora and NoSQL DynamoDB data models • Strong written communication and ability to produce implementation-ready design documents • Instinct for reusable abstractions without over-engineering • Preferred: production AI/agentic workflows, Strands Agents, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, MCP servers, prompt engineering, evaluation harnesses, guardrails, cost and latency budgets • Preferred: micro-frontend architecture, module federation or equivalent, independently deployable frontend units, and shared design systems • Preferred: event-driven architecture, event schema versioning, and consumer-driven contracts • Preferred: multi-tenant SaaS, tenant isolation, per-tenant configuration, and feature flags • Preferred: experience with onshore and offshore engineering teams • Nice to have: automotive, fintech, or marketplace platform experience; OpenTelemetry; CircleCI; AWS CDK; Auth0; Playwright; Glue; Athena; and S3 data lake patterns
