Alkami Technology is a digital banking software company that provides a cloud-based Digital Sales & Service Platform for banks and credit unions. Its platform combines onboarding and account opening (via MANTL), digital banking, and data & marketing solutions to enable anticipatory, data-driven customer experiences, faster account origination, fraud protection, payment reporting, and personalized marketing. Alkami serves financial institutions (retail and business customers) and offers integrations, developer tools, and implementation support to drive deposit growth, reduce churn, and improve operational efficiency.

📋 Description

• Coordinate tasks across Engineering, Quality Engineering, SRE, Release Management, Product, Architecture, and TPM teams to ensure high-quality software delivery • Contribute hands-on 20–30% by writing and reviewing code, debugging complex issues, designing and evolving APIs, and delivering scalable platform services • Lead, mentor, and inspire software engineers while supporting professional growth • Build and assess system architecture and design, influence the product roadmap, introduce technologies, and own new projects • Partner with Product, Security, Architecture, and Operations to align engineering execution with business outcomes • Identify bottlenecks, reduce technical debt, and drive scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency • Define and track engineering KPIs including deployment frequency, MTTR, test coverage, and SLA adherence • Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, project priorities, and timely delivery of high-quality software • Provide technical guidance on software development technologies, trends, and best practices • Oversee on-call incidents, troubleshoot critical disruptions, and minimize downtime • Drive adoption of modern development practices, tools, and frameworks • Promote collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, innovation, and experimentation • Collaborate with Product Management on brainstorming and technical-debt requirements • Report accomplishments, goals, issues, and deliverable status to stakeholders • Establish performance goals for direct reports • Continue education in management philosophies, banking industry knowledge, and client-specific applications

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development or similar engineering fields • 5+ years managing engineering teams • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience • Strong hands-on experience with several of .NET, Java, C#, Linux container development, Kubernetes, MVC, SaaS, SOA, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, modern JavaScript frameworks, Entity Framework, and microservices • Experience building and delivering SaaS software using microservice-based architecture and cloud-native applications • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Understanding of Operational Excellence, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or Haystack • Experience with real-time event-driven processing and batch processing of high-volume transactions • Experience building role-based access and entitlement systems • Ability to make data-driven decisions and evaluate technical, business, and resource trade-offs • Experience building scalable, operationally efficient systems • Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams • Ability to maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and troubleshooting • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams • Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing software engineering teams • Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, features, technical designs, and strategy • Experience managing global teams across multiple time zones • Experience with Lean-Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum • Preferred: experience in fintech, digital banking, or highly regulated industries • Preferred: experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial industries • Preferred: knowledge of treasury management, cash positioning, liquidity management, commercial payments, and reconciliation • Preferred: familiarity with ISO 20022, BAI2, MT940, and EDI 820 • Must be eligible to work in the US for full-time employment; Alkami cannot offer employment sponsorship
