📋 Description

• Deliver innovative products and services enabling development teams across physical, digital, and cloud platforms • Engineer a secure, scalable, and highly available developer platform using AWS, Windows, Linux, SaltStack, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Octopus • Own, automate, and troubleshoot production releases for complex Biocomputing solutions • Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices while transforming legacy environments • Research, test, and pilot a reusable metrics collection system • Define, select, implement, and support a new application-focused configuration management system while phasing out the legacy system • Work closely with development staff and train them on proprietary information security • Prototype reusable patterns and tools and coach developers on best practices • Deconstruct an old file store using an approved solution without impacting customers • Anticipate and address issues before they affect infrastructure or customers • Provide build and deployment support to multiple projects • Align configuration management practices with organizational and industry compliance requirements • Assist with versioning and archiving software artifacts and validation documentation in AWS/S3/Glacier • Automate manual activities across teams in accordance with DevOps principles • Define and implement cloud platform security practices and required certificates • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field • Five (5) years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or relevant technical role • Five (5) years of experience working with many of the following technologies or databases: Windows / Linux Administration, AWS & AWSCLI, SaltStack, Docker, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Splunk • Experience implementing Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps in legacy environments • Advanced expertise with Shell Scripting • Advanced knowledge of Windows / Linux systems administration • Experience with AWS, AWSCLI, SaltStack, Docker, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and Splunk • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible • Scripting experience in multiple languages • Experience setting up, configuring, and administering GIT and Splunk • Experience setting up, configuring, and administering binary repositories • Experience managing complex infrastructure projects with minimal supervision • Ability to explain technical ideas simply and effectively • Ability to work well with groups inside and outside the defined team • Ability to define and implement industry-standard cloud platform security practices • Ability to define, implement, and support required certificates • Must comply with ARUP Policies and Procedures • Must use personal protective equipment in the biohazard laboratory environment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies
