📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize WMS Core technology solutions • Build and maintain scalable software powering core warehouse management capabilities and integrations with third-party automation vendors such as PTL, INVATA, and Locus • Own architecture and design direction for shipped services • Write design documents to align the team before coding begins • Review pull requests daily and raise engineering standards • Mentor engineers through pairing, design feedback, and production investigations • Act as subject matter expert for warehouse Core and automation systems for engineering peers and warehouse operations • Break operational problems into scoped, sequenced work with product and engineering leaders • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and release mechanics • Lead production investigations, identify root causes, ship fixes, and close process or system gaps • Support releases across multiple fulfillment centers without disrupting daily operations • Prepare for peak season through load testing, capacity planning, and clear escalation paths

🎯 Requirements

• 10 or more years writing production software, with recent hands-on time in the codebase • Demonstrated technical leadership of a team, whether as tech lead, staff engineer or a manager who kept coding • Deep production experience with C#, Python, Java, .NET Core, and microservice architectures at scale • Working knowledge of event streaming and messaging with Kafka, RabbitMQ or an equivalent platform • Experience with both relational and document databases, for example SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and Postgres • Hands-on ownership of CI/CD pipelines, branching strategy and release mechanics • Strong testing instincts, including test strategy, automation frameworks and code review practice • Track record supporting production systems that operations teams depend on during business hours and peak periods • Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Must be eligible to work in the United States • Must be a U.S. citizen due to applicable federal requirements and able to provide acceptable documentation verifying status • Required technical skills include C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, PowerShell, Java, SQL, .NET Core, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Angular, ORM frameworks, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Hangfire, enterprise service bus patterns, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, xUnit, NUnit, Moq, WireMock, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, POM, Git, GitLab, BitBucket, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Kibana, SumoLogic, and DataDog
