📋 Description

• Lead Cisco Security’s Principal and Distinguished Security Solutions Engineers as a player-coach • Shape the technical strategy positioning Cisco as a leading security provider • Partner with Business Unit, Global Solutions Engineering, and Sales leadership to define technical initiatives and cross-architecture roadmaps • Translate high-level business goals into concrete technical strategies • Establish technical governance and ensure field insights influence product features, improvements, and go-to-market roadmaps • Lead technical strategy for emerging secure networking and cross-architecture technologies • Mobilize teams to build demos, proofs of value, workshops, resources, tools, and processes that accelerate adoption • Collaborate with Security Incubation, GTM, and Enablement teams • Foster continuous learning and technical excellence among elite technical talent • Provide strategic framework and organizational support for ambiguous, high-stakes problems • Champion external presence as a technical evangelist and industry visionary • Drive engagement with executive customers, industry research bodies, and technical advisory groups • Manage headcount, budget, and resource allocation • Align the team to high-value opportunities and measure impact through clear success metrics

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading highly impactful, global technical sales teams • Proven ability to lead, motivate and influence expert-level technologists, including Principal and Distinguished Solutions Engineers • Mastery of enterprise, agentic, cloud, and security operations solutions, including SASE, Hybrid Mesh Firewall, Identity, SIEM/SOAR, AI/Agentic Security, and Frontier AI Models • Ability to lead deeply technical, consultative discussions and command the respect of industry leaders across large audiences and partner ecosystems • Demonstrated ability to drive dynamic process improvement and demonstrate commercial value • Ability to navigate a global matrixed organization and partner across Sales, Product, Finance, HR, and Engineering • BA/BS in Engineering or Computer Science or commensurate experience (preferred) • Tested executive communication skills • Ability to lead and influence new product introduction, gather actionable customer feedback, ensure adoption, and drive continuous improvement • Significant experience engaging large, complex customers and partners and delivering measurable impact • World-class presentation and communication skills • Ability to architect, evangelize and deliver security teams and solutions across multiple product areas and target verticals • Hands-on experience with AI and AI security • Track record of building and scaling impactful SE programs, including demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of value • Global experience leading complex, competitive technical sales strategy
