📋 Description

• Build the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement • Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout experience • Develop gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobuf definitions, database migrations, and TypeScript client integrations • Build and refine buyer checkout UI, including payment links, embeddable web components, and WalletConnect, wagmi, and viem wallet connection flows • Implement durable, fault-tolerant payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and PostgreSQL reconciliation • Instrument changes with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces • Participate in the on-call rotation for shipped services • Partner with Product, Design, CDP, Base, and Coinbase Business engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into the Coinbase developer platform

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience • Production experience with Go, including concurrency, gRPC, and testing • Production experience with TypeScript/React, including hooks, suspense, server components, and Next.js • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query performance, and transactional correctness • Experience designing protobuf/gRPC, REST, and OpenAPI APIs • Experience instrumenting production systems with structured observability such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry • Experience building durable workflow systems such as Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions, or working with EVM blockchains, stablecoins, and onchain payment patterns • Clear design docs, PR descriptions, and runbooks enabling cross-team collaboration and operational maturity • Responsible use of generative AI tools and copilots, maintaining human oversight and applying human-in-the-loop practices
