📋 Description

• Own the reliability, performance, and security of the AWS production environment • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for PHP/Symfony and React applications, including automated security gates • Migrate infrastructure provisioning and configuration to a codified, repeatable infrastructure-as-code model • Build and tune centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting across CloudWatch and Datadog • Manage Docker container workloads on ECS, including FreeSWITCH fax/telephony containers • Operate independently scaled microservices infrastructure, including auto-scaling, load balancing, and resource right-sizing • Partner with engineering on service scaling, deployment, and performance • Support Aurora MySQL and MongoDB reliability and performance work • Harden PHI-handling systems and support penetration-test remediation • Manage secrets, keys, and access across environments • Improve deployment safety, rollback, and Dev/UAT/Prod environment parity • Codify infrastructure, mature observability, and strengthen compliance within the first 6–12 months

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with AWS EC2, ALB/ELB, Aurora/RDS MySQL, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and security groups • Linux server administration proficiency, specifically Ubuntu 24.04 LTS • Production Docker experience building, running, and troubleshooting containerized services • CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance with Bitbucket Pipelines • Bash scripting for automation, system administration, and pipeline support • CloudWatch and Datadog logging, observability, dashboards, and alerting experience • Apache and PHP-FPM configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting • MySQL administration, backup/restore, and performance troubleshooting; MongoDB exposure • Secrets and access management, including SSH keys, API tokens, and environment-scoped secrets • Strong understanding of distributed systems and stateless microservice scaling • SFTP administration and secure file transfer, including chroot/jailing, authentication, automation, and monitoring • Working understanding of HIPAA infrastructure requirements for PHI, including encryption, audit logging, least privilege, and network isolation • Experience with automated security scanning and CI/CD security gates, including SAST/DAST, SCA, container, IaC, and secrets scanning • Familiarity with web application vulnerabilities and infrastructure-level mitigations • Experience supporting audits, penetration-test remediation, or compliance activities • Terraform and/or Ansible experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience preferred/required as an alternative
