📋 Description

• Accelerate growth of existing revenue streams and lay the foundation for new monetization opportunities across Nitro, Shop, Server Boosting, and User Identity • Own complex initiatives end to end by partnering with Product, refining requirements, creating technical specifications, and working with Design • Collaborate with Staff Engineers and organizational partners to drive technical alignment across systems, products, and long-term vision • Advise leadership on technical considerations related to engineering excellence and high-impact initiatives • Partner on strategic planning to improve how the organization builds and operates • Lead full-stack engineering work across Web, Android, and iOS • Set the technical bar for the team and help engineers achieve it • Rapidly prototype new features and synthesize insights through experimentation

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • Track record of leading large initiatives from inception to launch with meaningful impact beyond the immediate team • Full-stack proficiency • Expert in React/React Native • Solid grasp of Python backend development • Experience with React and TypeScript for web development • Experience with React Native and some Kotlin, Objective-C, and Swift for mobile development • Technical leadership and ability to translate ambiguous goals into executable roadmaps • Ownership mentality and comfort with autonomy and ambiguity • Understanding of React performance and client-server performance optimization • Growth mindset • Bonus: experience in revenue generation, product monetization, or user engagement systems • Bonus: structured experimentation and data-driven decision making • Bonus: identifying and solving bottlenecks in large-scale consumer-facing applications • Passion for Discord is a bonus
