📋 Description

• Frame problems, sequence work, and make tradeoffs with Product and Design • Design systems, including data models, API contracts, and failure modes • Decompose work and write specifications for AI agents to implement • Debug or handle complex work directly in code when needed • Define testing coverage and levels, direct AI to build tests, and validate test quality • Build security, reliability, and observability into systems from the start • Review all work rigorously and remain accountable for production quality • Make deployment decisions and respond to on-call incidents • Learn from incidents and improve engineering practices • Coach engineers on specifying, delegating, and validating work with AI • Contribute across the full software lifecycle from planning and design through production

🎯 Requirements

• Deep server-side experience in a modern language such as Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, or Go • 5+ years of full stack development experience • Experience owning services end to end • Experience with REST contracts, versioning, OAuth2/OIDC, schema design, and SQL • Production experience with async and event-driven systems, including Kafka or comparable technologies and idempotency • Experience building and operating production systems at scale on AWS or Azure • Experience with containers, Kubernetes or serverless, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines • On-call experience for production systems • Defensible unit, integration, and contract testing strategy • Accountability for reliability and security, including SLOs, incident leadership, OWASP, and threat modeling • PHI/HIPAA or comparable regulated-data experience • Production experience using agentic AI as a primary development surface • Ability to identify and correct subtle issues in AI-generated output • LLM application engineering or modern TypeScript frontend work against a design system is a bonus
