📋 Description

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and libraries under supervision • Develop understanding of relevant product areas • Implement and maintain simple automated test cases and framework features • Debug automation scripts and tools • Implement simple performance test scripts using existing frameworks and tools • Execute performance tests and provide basic test result reports • Follow coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for automated test scripts • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements • Ensure frameworks meet testing needs within feature teams • Create and review test execution results • Analyze test findings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Completion of the Summer 2026 Internship at Mercury Insurance • New grad or 2+ years of industry experience • Understanding of relevant product areas • Proficiency in designing and implementing high-quality, modular, configurable, reusable, fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, stable, and maintainable frameworks • Proficiency in creating and maintaining automated reusable libraries/components • Strong knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript • Experience with containerization technologies • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure • Experience leveraging DevSecOps • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, IDE, and Metrics • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of Agile release processes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub • Knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Curl, and Insomnia • Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills • Ability to conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Ability to analyze system requirements and determine testing approaches • Verbal and written communication skills • Product knowledge and ability to align testing with business objectives • Multitasking skills and positive attitude • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Adaptability and flexibility • Commitment to continuous learning • Meticulous attention to detail
