📋 Description

• Lead, hire, coach, and retain engineers across wallet clients, supporting services, and onchain integrations • Set technical direction for account creation and recovery, key management, signing, transaction construction and simulation, dApp connectivity, asset management, swaps, and DeFi experiences • Create ownership and execution plans across web, browser extension, iOS, Android, backend services, SDKs, and protocol dependencies • Raise standards for architecture, testing, release safety, observability, incident response, and post-incident learning • Partner with product and design to simplify complex onchain workflows while clearly presenting fees, permissions, risks, and transaction outcomes • Work with security and protocol teams to evaluate threats, manage dependencies, and balance usability, decentralization, privacy, and asset protection • Use data, user research, support feedback, and ecosystem context to prioritize work and measure product and engineering outcomes • Support Slush, Mysten Labs' wallet across web, browser extension, iOS, and Android • Shape how users discover, understand, and execute onchain actions • Partner with product, design, security, protocol, and ecosystem teams to set direction, make technical tradeoffs, and ship dependable experiences

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing and developing software engineers, including senior engineers, in a high-ownership product environment • Direct experience shipping production blockchain wallet functionality • Understanding of self-custody, private-key security, signing, recovery, transaction lifecycle, chain and RPC failure modes, and wallet-to-dApp interaction patterns • Hands-on DeFi fluency, including liquidity, routing, slippage, staking, lending, bridges, protocol and smart-contract risk, and user protections for financial transactions • Strong systems judgment across client applications, backend services, APIs or SDKs, distributed dependencies, monitoring, and operational response • Record of setting direction in ambiguous environments, improving execution, and delivering reliable products across multiple platforms or surfaces • Ability to partner closely with product, design, security, and senior technical leaders while maintaining clear engineering accountability • Preferred: experience integrating decentralized exchanges, aggregators, bridges, staking, lending, or fiat on- and off-ramps into a wallet • Preferred: familiarity with Sui, Move, programmable transaction blocks, zkLogin, Wallet Standard, or another modern smart-contract platform • Preferred: experience leading products through rapid growth, high transaction volume, security review, or asset-impacting incidents • Successful completion of a background check, potentially including employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information • Legal authorization to work in the country in which the role is located • Must answer whether visa sponsorship will be required to continue working in the role's country
