📋 Description

• Own significant product capabilities end-to-end, from ambiguous problem framing through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration • Build accessible, data-rich user experiences with React and TypeScript • Build and maintain real-time computation services using AWS Lambda • Serve scores and calculations on demand with attention to latency, reliability, and cost at scale • Design and maintain reliable, scalable APIs and backend services connecting data, ML, analytics, and agentic capabilities to customer-facing products • Work across AWS, Kubernetes, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, and DataFusion • Use Claude Code and other coding AI agents across the development lifecycle • Help define effective team practices for using coding AI tools • Lead technical design, code review, and architectural discussions • Surface technical risks and trade-offs early • Mentor engineers and shape practices around testing, observability, and code quality • Partner with engineering leadership on technical roadmap decisions and platform investments • Contribute to epics, shape scope, and provide engineering perspective in roadmap conversations • Collaborate with product, design, and ML engineering to solve complex problems and develop ODAIA's AI-powered platform • Include a cover letter outlining relevant experience and interest in the role

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience • Significant ownership across frontend and backend systems • At least one experience leading a project with limited supervision • Deep experience with React and TypeScript • Strong grasp of browser fundamentals, state management, and frontend performance • Extensive experience designing and operating APIs or backend services under real production load • Experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies • Strong engineering fundamentals in modular design, testing, and maintainable code • Experience guiding coding AI agents effectively and reviewing generated output • Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar on a team • Product-oriented mindset and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to provide a cover letter • Background and reference checks required as a condition of employment • Must meet applicable employment eligibility requirements in Canada or the U.S.
