📋 Description

• Design and evolve the abstraction for Extend's systems • Build and operate the real-time systems behind card issuance, authorization, and settlement • Build the mocks and tooling to test partner systems • Own problems from design to production reliability • Use AI coding agents heavily

🎯 Requirements

• Real depth in at least one operational discipline • Experience with external APIs and operational ownership • Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, relational databases, and backend frameworks • Background in observability, integration testing, incident response, or performance work • Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs effectively to non-technical stakeholders • Legal eligibility to work in the United States
