📋 Description

• Own the DevSecOps and platform engineering ecosystem for a federal modernization program • Design and run CI/CD across multiple applications, technology stacks, and environments • Enable builds, tests, and deployments to complete in under an hour • Automate zero-downtime production releases with verification and clean rollback • Automate environment provisioning and teardown as code • Engineer security and quality gates, vulnerability scanning, remediation, authorization evidence, and Zero Trust alignment into pipelines • Build observability across infrastructure, applications, interfaces, batch jobs, and business transactions • Own incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, capacity and performance management, and disaster recovery • Keep legacy systems stable, patched, and authorized while modern platforms absorb their functions • Instrument and improve engineering metrics including build times, deployment frequency, defect escape rates, and toil • Lead, mentor, hire, and grow engineers; establish and enforce engineering standards • Use AI tools for infrastructure definitions, scripting, pipeline work, failure diagnosis, log analysis, test coverage, documentation, and automation • Design AI-enabled capabilities such as pipeline diagnostics, automated remediation, vulnerability analysis, knowledge retrieval, developer self-service, and agentic workflows • Work directly with federal customers and decision-makers, explain technical decisions, and challenge incorrect technical direction • Participate in architecture decisions, pipeline engineering, production troubleshooting, and code reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Deep hands-on DevSecOps and platform engineering experience • Designed and operated CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation for real production systems across more than one stack • Federal delivery experience in regulated federal environments • Understanding of authorizations to operate, federal security controls, vulnerability remediation SLAs, and mandated tooling • Production ownership including availability, incident response, and root-cause analysis • Experience engineering security controls, scanning, and evidence generation into delivery processes • Demonstrated AI-in-the-loop engineering using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot • Technical leadership experience, including directly leading engineers, making accountable architecture decisions, and explaining technical tradeoffs • Ability to exercise judgment under ambiguity • Must be U.S.-based • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance • Secret clearance is not required • Salesforce platform or Copado pipeline experience is helpful but not required • Experience with government cloud environments, Splunk, or enterprise monitoring integration is helpful but not required • Prior authorization packages, POA&M management, or Zero Trust experience is helpful but not required • Legacy-system decommissioning or dual-stack transition experience is helpful but not required • Mortgage or housing finance experience is not required • No degree or specific year count is required; evidence of capability is prioritized
