📋 Description

• Plan, design, and execute aspects of energy storage projects • Explore subject areas and define project scope • Provide engineering oversight and consulting across cross-functional teams • Support the design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects • Identify inconsistencies in engineering drawings and take corrective action • Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions • Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts • Support projects from inception to completion with project managers • Influence project teams on engineering tasks • Track project progress and technical issues • Manage project milestones and identify risks • Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment • Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements • Travel 25% of the time for project-specific responsibilities • Report to the onsite manager

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction • Expertise in one or more of: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design • Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards: UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, and applicable IFC/IBC sections • Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, and 61730 • Ability to handle specialized technical tasks • Must meet applicable United States and comparable export control requirements
