• Execute capital projects to ensure the fulfillment of the Thermal Energy Services Agreement (TESA) while meeting safety, cost, schedule and quality requirements. • Manage multiple industrial decarbonization projects through all phases of the project Stage-Gate Process including proposal, concept, development, execution, closeout and ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) • Manage all stakeholders within the projects including customers, equipment suppliers, project financiers, incentive program managers, engineering firms, permitting authorities, internal team members, and installation contractors • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules • Effectively identify and manage project risks by developing and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the life of the project • Be the key interface between the customer and all other stakeholders within the project • Manage project procurement process from start to finish on each project • Track and report on project progress and performance metrics including cost, schedule, scope, and risk • Lead the bidding process for engineering firms, equipment suppliers, CM firms, and contractors • Negotiate with stakeholders as needed to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing cost overruns, scope creep, and schedule delays • Understand and effectively negotiate contracts with equipment suppliers and contractors • Review vendor, supplier, consultant, and contractor bids for accuracy and completeness • Review engineering designs for accuracy and completeness • Capture lessons learned and implement action plans to ensure corrective actions are incorporated into work processes moving forward • Deliver Skyven’s industrial decarbonization projects to satisfied customers
• Player/coach mentality with the ability to contribute to and manage multiple projects • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Chemical Engineering) • 5+ years of engineering and/or project management experience in brownfield industrial construction environment (preferably Food & Beverage, Chemicals, or Pulp & Paper) • 3+ years of project management experience leading major CapEx projects (> $25MM) involving multiple functions, disciplines, customers, and sites • Technical understanding in the areas of engineering and construction including mechanical, piping, civil, structural, process, electrical, and controls • Experience managing engineering firms, consultants, equipment suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal resources to facilitate project execution • Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment • Familiarity with the Stage-Gate project delivery process, industrial manufacturing equipment and controls, contract management, team building, and client relationship management • Familiarity with fixed and rotating equipment and MW scale electrical infrastructure • Excels at communicating technical and non-technical information across diverse stakeholders • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (~35%) • Ability to work remotely at home office and at project sites as required
