Description

• Responsible for AR management: including reviewal of client contracts, new client creation within the accounting system, AR invoice and credit memo approvals, client payment applications, and preparation of aging reports with client past due notices • Confirming all GL entries have the correct department, line of business, and other necessary tags • Reconciling passthrough spend of clients against prebills for different media spend • Responsible for journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations such as cash, prepaids, accruals, and deferrals • Confirming proper internal controls are established and followed to maintain the accuracy of financial reporting • Supervise a team of junior accountants to ensure accuracy while developing growth and maintaining an exciting work culture • Coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants and submit all documents in support of annual audit procedures • Operating as a trusted business partner and provide excellent levels of service across the organization • Proactively maintain a thorough understanding of new and proposed accounting standards and their impact on the organization • Leading and participating in ad hoc projects • Developing and improving existing policies and procedures to create more efficient processes across the department

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) with a focus in Accounting or Finance • At least six (6) years of General Ledger accounting experience • At least four (4) years of managerial experience • Working knowledge of NetSuite, or similar ERP, and strong Excel and Google Sheets skills • Proficient knowledge of GAAP and recent accounting trends • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects • Strong operational experience with a focus on process improvement and documentation • Positive, can-do attitude • Previous experience in an agency, digital media, and/or other high-growth environments
