📋 Description

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and related technologies • Contribute production-ready code and participate in feature development and system enhancements • Review code and provide technical guidance to engineering team members • Participate in iteration planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies • Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Lead technical design discussions and architectural decision-making • Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions • Establish and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery practices • Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and lead root cause analysis activities • Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams to align solutions with enterprise standards • Promote engineering best practices, test automation, code quality, and continuous improvement • Monitor delivery commitments, operational metrics, and team performance • Foster knowledge sharing, talent development, and technical growth across the team

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years or more of experience developing enterprise applications using ASP.NET and C# (or equivalent) • 1 year or more of experience leading or managing software engineers (or equivalent) • Experience actively designing, developing, and supporting production software applications • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and complex T-SQL development • Experience with front-end technologies such as Vue.js, React, or Angular • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design • Experience with Git, automated testing, and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Experience working within Agile development environments • Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and leadership skills • The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Desirable: Experience supporting Sales, Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services applications • Desirable: Experience with Oracle databases and enterprise data repository integrations • Desirable: Experience leading cloud-based application initiatives • Desirable: Knowledge of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and modern software delivery practices • Desirable: Experience driving application modernization and engineering transformation initiatives • Desirable: Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing engineering teams
