📋 Description

• Improve security, reliability, and delivery across projects and products • Scope, design, and deliver medium-to-large initiatives while reducing technical debt, risk, and operational complexity • Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration • Follow and improve engineering and DevSecOps practices for secure, reliable feature delivery • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure software services, emphasizing backend systems, microservices, and APIs • Participate in architecture and design discussions covering cloud architecture, application security, scalability, reliability, and technology choices • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security validation, deployment, and releases • Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools for AWS infrastructure • Develop and manage containerized applications and platforms using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS • Integrate security controls, automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks • Deploy and maintain observability solutions including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and performance monitoring • Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, deployment, and production issues; perform root-cause analysis and preventative improvements • Conduct code, architecture, infrastructure, and security reviews • Participate in vulnerability management, threat assessments, security reviews, and remediation • Implement AWS security, compliance, governance, and access-control practices • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, runbooks, API documentation, and operational procedures • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, security and infrastructure teams, and stakeholders • Mentor engineers and promote automation, security, reliability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools and practices • Contribute to technical estimation, prioritization, planning, and delivery of engineering initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizenship or Green Card only; sponsorship is not offered • US Residency for at least the past 3 years • Able to meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation • Strong expertise in DevSecOps, AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, automation, and security • Experience with Java (SpringBoot), Maven, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript • Nice to have: experience working on a large-scale system with over 100 users • Nice to have: PostgreSQL, Camunda, FHIR, and AI/ML experience
