📋 Description

• Provide software development and maintenance for the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) • Serve as an Agile Scrum team member delivering releasable software in short sprint cycles • Design, develop, and implement custom software and database application capabilities for legacy and modernized systems • Support product teams and collaborate with teammates to ensure product and team success • Improve supported products • Participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases • Support release planning through conceptual design and refinement of software engineering guidelines • Analyze complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components • Mentor junior team members • Present ideas for system improvements and conduct impact analysis for software changes • Produce detailed specifications and write software code • Collaborate with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 1 year of related experience • Current and active Secret clearance • Solid knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts • Experience with React and Redux JavaScript libraries • PostgreSQL experience • Experience with Google Go • Solid knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Service Offerings • Experience under formal software development processes • Agile certification • Knowledge of secure coding practices, source code vulnerability mitigation, and remediation • Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology desired • Experience with Spring framework desired • Familiarity with SOAP/REST web services, JUnit, Mockito, and Maven desired • Experience with XML and JSON desired • Basic database knowledge desired
