📋 Description

• Lead structured requirements-gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders to define data and reporting needs • Translate business questions into analytical requirements and user stories • Document database configurations, processes, procedures, business requirements, data definitions, dashboard specifications, and change logs • Implement data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and governance • Design and implement database structures, schemas, tables, views, and indexes • Collaborate with software developers and system architects to integrate databases with applications • Perform exploratory and diagnostic data analysis using SQL, Python, or R • Design, build, and iterate on prototypes, proof-of-concept dashboards, production dashboards, and reports • Facilitate stakeholder review sessions and incorporate feedback into iterative design cycles • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to technical teams and executive leadership • Establish and maintain cross-functional stakeholder relationships as a data-driven decision-making advisor • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and self-service analytics adoption • Mentor junior analysts on requirements gathering, data storytelling, and dashboard design • Independently manage tasks from requirements through implementation and proactively resolve challenges with minimal oversight

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 6+ years of experience in business/data analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis • Experience developing prototypes or wireframes for analytical solutions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and projects simultaneously • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including documenting requirements and specifications • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work across technical and business teams • Preferred: Master's degree in a related quantitative or business field • Preferred: Python or R scripting/programming experience • Preferred: Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools, including Jira or AzureDevOps • Preferred: Cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks • Preferred: Workshop or design-thinking facilitation experience • Preferred: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Power BI, or CompTIA Security+ certification • Preferred: Defense industry experience
